Ingredients

  • Cream cheese: 300 g
  • Powdered sugar: 80 g
  • Matcha: 15 g
  • Flour: 15 g
  • Eggs: 2
  • Crème fraîche: 200 ml

Instructions

1. Prepare the ingredients
Prepare the puff pastry (store-bought or homemade), azuki bean paste, and an egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2. Shape the tarts
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into suitable pieces. Place a generous amount of azuki paste in the center and fold the pastry to form a tart. Seal the edges well to prevent the filling from leaking out.

3. Brush with egg yolk
Apply a thin layer of egg yolk on top of the tarts to give them a beautiful golden color when baked.

4. Bake
Place the tarts on a baking sheet and bake at 180°C for 15 to 20 minutes. They are ready when they are golden brown and crispy.

5. Let cool
Remove the tarts from the oven and let them cool before serving. You can dust them with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
